As a licensed mental health provider, a Certified Addiction Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor I specialize in the healing of the deeper mind that is responsible for emotional disturbance and maladaptive behavior. Since then, I have worked extensively with both adolescent’s and adults’ in recovery from substance use/abuse disorders and traumatic experiences while supporting both individual and family healing.
My advanced training in innovative treatment methods provides me with the approaches to support lasting change in my clients. These tools include Eye Movement Emergence Reemergence & Guided Expression, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Neurolinguistic programming, Hypnosis and Rapid Resolution Therapy. The brain is working just fine. It's just working overtime to protect you. Let's work together on clearing trauma and access the resources within you to be your true self and find your peace of mind. To live a life where you are a holistically healthy and balanced person who is excelling physically, financially, socially, intellectually, emotionally, occupationally, spiritually, and environmentally. I blend science, heart and skill to release and clear trauma. Clients learn the language of their own mind and we make adjustments in the way that the brain is processing information so that it works in your favor.
In addition to mental wellness, I have a passion for movement and adventure. In fact, these are also forms of therapy and wellness and can be key ingredients to our recipe for happiness. As a former semi-professional athlete and current nationally qualified fitness competitor I understand the important of holistic care and addressing all aspects of our mind, body and spirit. I strive to do that myself through body building, coaching my daughter’s softball and basketball team, traveling internationally, volunteering for global missions and spending time in nature.
